About the Role

Smart contracts are where value lives at Bitara, and getting them right is non-negotiable. As a Smart Contract Engineer, you'll develop, test, and optimize secure Solidity and Rust contracts spanning DeFi, tokenization, and NFT systems built to hold real assets under real adversarial pressure.

You'll write code where every line is a potential attack surface, pairing sharp engineering instincts with a security-first mindset. If you obsess over gas efficiency, invariants, and airtight test coverage, you'll feel at home here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and optimize secure Solidity and Rust smart contracts
  • Build contract systems across DeFi, tokenization, and NFT use cases
  • Design for security first, minimizing attack surface and enforcing strict invariants
  • Write comprehensive unit, integration, and fuzz tests for on-chain logic
  • Optimize contracts for gas efficiency and upgradeability
  • Collaborate closely with auditors and protocol engineers on secure design

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering, with hands-on smart contract development
  • Strong proficiency in Solidity and/or Rust for on-chain systems
  • Deep understanding of common vulnerabilities and secure design patterns
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Foundry, Hardhat, or Anchor
  • Solid grasp of EVM or Solana execution and gas/compute optimization
  • Meticulous, security-conscious approach to writing and reviewing code

Nice to Have

  • Experience with DeFi primitives, AMMs, or tokenization standards
  • Familiarity with formal verification or fuzzing tools
  • Prior work alongside audit teams or bug-bounty participation
